New Doc & Ninja Turtles

OMPA Directory Release Party

OMPA Directory Release Party

Had a chance to visit with colleague from the other side of the river at the Oregon Media Production Association annual directory release party, hosted by Koerner Camera. Good times. Ran into several people I hadn’t seen in a while. It’s really fun to hear the great productions that are underway here in the Northwest. The free tacos were a nice too.

Next week will see post production start on a new project at Furman Pictures- writing a script and editing “The Nepal Documentary”- a working title. It’s the story of Mountain Leadership Institutes recent journey to Nepal and the unexpected connections they made there. The finished project will be about 45 to 60 minutes long.

Oh yes! I also attend Creative Connect on Tuesday in Portland, which is organized by Scott N. Trimble, an outstanding photographer and D.P. It was a pleasant networking event. There were really interesting people that I enjoyed talking with, including storyboard artist Dan Schaefer who storyboarded for the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series- a fact my wife very much enjoyed.

This Week

This week at Furman Pictures was spent working on post for “Buttterflies”, shooting interviews for Camas Video Magazine with Dawn at iQ Credit Union and Mark at American Union Insurance as well as working on development for other projects. iQ also has a branch in the Camas high school. I went out there to shoot a couple shots. Neat program, they have students manning branch. Thanks Shelby and Mike for the extra help there.

Humane Society

It’s great to be working with the Humane Society for Southwest Washington again this year on an appeal video for their annual auction. We met yesterday to begin planning the project which will be due this fall. It’s an honer to work with such a great group of people who provide such a humane resource to our community. There are so many animals that need homes. If you have room in your home, I encourage you consider adopting one of the many loving critters that need someone to love them. I know my wife and I hope to join the cause by making a couple adoptions this year- a cat patrol our barn and another dog to keep Jack, our Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix, company.
